Hatsune Miku (初音ミク) is a singing computer voice based on human voice created by Crypton Future Media. It uses Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 2 synthesizing technology. The name , Hatsune Miku, comes from a combination of the Japanese word for "first" (初 hatsu), "sound" (音 ne) and "future" (ミク Miku), this name refers to her position as the first of Crypton's "Character Vocal Series". The data for her voice was created by sampling from the voice of Fujita Saki. Hatsune Miku has performed at her concerts onstage as an animated projection before.
