inverted pyramid structure

What is Inverted pyramid structure? Well, inverted pyramid is a way to present the leading story. You write the important things first to tell the reader what its' about (just in case the reader doesn't want to read the whole thing) then you can  work down using supporting details to the least important information.

If i were to say an example about a animals' habitat was going to be destroyed for mine oil, i would put that at the begining. Then say when and the place it happening at. If the leader of the mining process allowed you to tell their name, then tell the readers the name of the person who is in charge of the mining. Their reason of mining can be because there is a two year supply of oil under the animal's land. Or there is a SUPER big deposit of oil down there. These reasons can be added to the first paragraph.  The reader that is least interested usually stops here. At least the reader got the most important information. Then you move down to the second paragraph,  this is where the less important info is. Like it tells you how the process will work. The less but, interested reader would stop here. The third paragraph is where the least important info is found. This part shows the least interesting information. The third paragraph sometimes get cut off or stays and the most interested reader would finish.

The inverted pyramid is sample, your write the most important at the top then work down to the sample details. But these small details could be cut off. I will try to use the inverted pyramid structure to help me write a good article.

  3. I think you did a great job Bonnie! You explained the Inverted Pyramid Structure very well. The only thing that I think needs to be fixed is a little bit of the grammar, other than that, keep up the good work! (:
